EARTH, WIND, & FIRE (EWF) - After The Love Is Gone
[REMEMBERING THE 70’S]
In The Spotlight: Earth, Wind, & Fire —
Earth, Wind & Fire Is one of the classic R&B groups from the 70’s. Even though they have been classified as R&B, soul, funk, and a multitude of other genres, it goes without saying that EWF has a style and class of music that is uniquely their own. Their music doesn’t need a classification as it stands on its own merit. EWF is one of few bands that have stayed true to their original style of music and are still in existence, as of today. Earth, Wind & Fire’s long range of musical accomplishments range from but are not limited too: Receiving six Grammy & four American Music Awards; Induction into the “Rock & Roll” & “NAACP” Hall Of Fame; Recipient Of The ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Heritage & BET Lifetime Achievement Awards and were nominated for a plethora of other musical awards. EWF can also be noted for being the first black performers to receive the Madison Square Garden’s Gold Ticket Award for selling more than 100,000 ticket & the Columbia Records Crystal Globe Award for selling more than five million albums in foreign markets.
